Objective :

  1. To provide better understanding of the nature, objectives, and functioning of the Tripartite Forum,
  2. To facilitate information exchange among partners and observers with respect to proposed projects of the Tripartite Forum,
  3. To encourage and develop linkages and networks with other relevant government, UN and civil society institutions with similar or related undertakings or initiatives and programs on interfaith, intercultural and intercivilizational dialogue and cooperation,
  4. To foster camaraderie among partners and develop synergy and understanding of respective projects in the area of interfaith, intercultural and intercivilizational dialogue and cooperation, with the aim of finding commonality among them, and
  5. To provide an opportunity to interact with religious leaders interested in interfaith dialogue and cooperation for peace and development.

Methodology :

  1. Monthly informal information sessions with selected governments, UN agencies, religious leaders or civil society organizations as guest speaker/s during the start-up phase; the frequency of these meetings could be increased or decreased, as may be determined later.
  2. A list of proposed themes and invited speakers will be drawn up from proposals from the partners. The list will be finalized by the Troika and circulated in advance for the information of all participants.
  3. The informal meetings may be held in venues chosen by any volunteer Tripartite Partner host. Hosting of the meetings may be rotated among the three constituencies of the Tripartite Forum.
  4. Monthly summaries of these informal meetings will be circulated to all partners and posted on the website of the Tripartite Forum.
